Regular Order, Day 4

  • The varsity soccer team will face Catholic in the LHSAA Division 1 state championship game on Saturday night at Strawberry Stadium in Hammond with kickoff set for 7:30.  Tickets are priced at $20.00 each. Be certain to check the link on jesuitnola.org to purchase tickets.
  • There will be a Spirit Bus forms are due today to the Student Activities Office, Room 131. Place them on the desk if no one is there to take them.
  • All Big Brothers will meet today during the first half of lunch in the auditorium.
  • To celebrate Black History Month, The Jesuit Men of Color are proud to present our final edition of Four on Friday, a study of music that shaped the Civil Rights Movement. Join us today during the first half of lunch in Room 210 as senior Israel Fortin and junior Darrick LeBeouf cover gospel songs by Fannie Lou Hamer, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Mavis Staples, and Mahlia Jackson.
  • The Classic Rock Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 203.
  • Join Mr. Jaskiewicz and Mr. Newell today at 3:05 in the courtyard for a walking rosary.
  • There will be no Phils Tech Crew today.
  • The J-Troupe, Jesuit’s elite improv comedy team, is looking for new members.  Join us for improv practice Mondays from 3:30-5PM in Room 202.  Learn all about quick-thinking, improve your listening skills, and develop your sense of humor while having a great time.  J-Troupe practice is open to all Jesuit students as well as young ladies from area high schools.
  • The varsity baseball team will continue play in the WGNO Tournament this afternoon and on Saturday.  The team will face Tuerlings Catholic at Mike Miley this afternoon starting at 4:00.  On Saturday the team plays at St. Charles Catholic at 1:00 then travels to Shaw to face the Eagles in the nightcap starting at 7:00.
  • The 9th grade baseball team plays at Mandeville on Saturday starting at 10:00.  The jv game follows at 12:15.
  • The 8th grade baseball team plays at Lake Castle in Madisonville on Saturday morning.
  • The golf team will compete in the Basile Bearcat Open in Kinder on Saturday.
  • Second-notice printing fees for January have been sent to students’ Outlook email accounts (not Canvas messaging). Students who owe printing fees may pay in Room 215 before school, during the 10-minute break, or at the lunch hour to avoid losing computer services and receiving a PH.
  • All students interested in being on the intramural leadership team should meet today during the last 20 minutes of lunch on Friday in Computer Lab 3. We will be talking about playoffs, All-Star week, March Madness Tournament, and cabbage ball.

Results:

  • On Tuesday, the varsity baseball team defeated Terrebonne 12-0.  Everett Denny and Brandon Thomas combined to pitch a shutout.  Patrick Berrigan and Marshal Serio each had two hits.  
  • Congratulations to the Jesuit Golf team on their 156-198 victory over Archbishop Shaw.  The low rounds of the match belonged to Sophomore Julien Tullier who shot a 2 over par 38 and Freshmen Duke Nitcher who shot a 4 over par 40.
