Regular Order, Day 3

  • Please join us today for Adoration in the 2nd floor chapel. Spend some time in quiet adoration with the Lord.
  • The annual school-wide king cake party will take place today during the second half of lunch in the courtyard. Student Council will provide a limited number of king cakes for the student body not participating with a club or team. There will be a very special guest appearance by a local celebrity, so don’t miss out.
  • Friday will be a a purple, green, and gold day. Wear your favorite Mardi Gras shirt or a purple, green, and/or gold collared shirt tomorrow in place of your school shirt. Ask your homeroom teachers about the guidelines.
  • The varsity basketball game will face St. Augustine on Thursday night at St. Mary’s with tip off set for 7:00.  Note that neither the 9th grade or JV game will be played prior to the varsity game.
  • The bowling team will face Hammond at Tangi Lanes this afternoon starting at 3:20.
  • The Creative Writing Club will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 116.
  • The Fishing club will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 313. 
  • The Chess Club and Team will meet today after school in Room 311.
  • The Sports Analysis Club will meet tomorrow during the second half of lunch in the Student Activities Office for our annual Super Bowl Party.
  • Tomorrow is the deadline for Calliope submissions. Please submit your poetry, prose, photographs, and art to calliope@jesuitnola.org.
  • Mardi Gras beads will be collected after the break to be donated to St. Michael School for recycling. The bead drive will run from Feb. 19 through March 1.
  • Any students interested in playing beach volleyball at White Sands in Elmwood should see Mrs. Catalano in Room 323 to sign up. Practices will be held on Tuesdays, starting Feb. 20 and Games on Wednesdays, starting March 6.  The deadline to sign up is tomorrow.  
  • Students who received an Honors Recommendation for next year’s Science courses are reminded that the deadline is tomorrow to turn in the forms to Mrs. Tassin in Room 315.  
  • Juniors who have applied for the Southern Border service trip: your interview with a faculty member must be scheduled and completed by today. Please see Mr. Delatte if you have any questions.
