Seven Period Day, Day 2B

  • Jesuit’s MCJROTC Unit will sponsor a Christmas Dance and Karaoke Contest next Friday from 6:30-10:30pm in the Commons for all students. The cost is $10 per person and attire is semi-formal. Food and drinks will be provided.   
  • The Sportsmen’s Club will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 112.
  • The Classic Rock Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 203.
  • The Student Council will sponsor a tacky Christmas Sweater contest today during the second half of lunch in the Commons.  There will also be a contest for most Christmas-y socks and the best Christmas suit.
  • Students and faculty are invited Join Mr. Jaskiewicz and Mr. Newell today at 3:05 in the courtyard for a walking rosary.
  • The varsity wrestling team will compete in the KC Stampede in Kansas City, Missouri, today and tomorrow.
  • The varsity basketball team will host Mandeville tonight in the Benson Arena with tip off set for 7:00,  The jv game begins at 5:45, while the 9th grade game starts at 4:30. On Saturday afternoon the team hosts De La Salle in the Benson Arena at 3:45.  The jv game begins at 2:30.
  • The 9th grade basketball team will compete tomorrow in the St. Charles Catholic Tournament.
  • The 8th grade basketball team plays Rummel at 9:00 a.m. and Holy Cross at 12:00 on Saturday with both games being played at Brother Martin.
  • The 8th grade soccer team will compete tomorrow in the Brother Martin Tournament.
  • There will be a Navy/Marine Corps ROTC College Scholarship meeting next Wednesday at 11:30am in Room 110 for all interested students. See Lieutenant Colonel Himel in the Marine Corps Junior ROTC Office with questions. 
  • The Phils “Holiday Happening” will take place next Thursday at 6:30PM. This showcase features special guests the Card Magic Club, as well as the Barbershop Blue Jays, the Radio Theatre Ensemble performing “The Nativity Play”, and our own elite Improv comedy team, the J-Troupe. The show will be followed by cookies, cocoa, & caroling on the Chapel steps.
  • The cafe will be open before exams and during the break between exams next week. The cafeteria will also be serving pizza next week. Wednesday the cafe will close during the break.
  • PH will be held today, as usual, in Room 231 from 3pm to 4pm.  Next week, PH will be held in Room 231 on Thursday only; it will begin after the first exam and will continue as long as is necessary for justice to be served.
