Regular Order, Day 4

  • The Classic Rock Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 203.
  • Anyone interested in trying out for the JH, JV, or V Track & Field team will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 212.  
  • Any student interested in trying out for the varsity or JV baseball team will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 332. 
  • Ice Cream Social will meet today.
  • The varsity soccer team will compete in the COPA Acadiana Tournament in Lafayette this evening and on Saturday.
  • The varsity wrestling team will compete in the South Walton Border Wars in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida this evening and on Saturday.
  • The Philelectic Society is holding auditions for the musical Guys & Dolls on Monday from 4:30-7PM in the Jesuit Auditorium.  Forms can be found on the Phils page of the website or stop by the Phils office, Room 201, for more information.
  • The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana is offering a free field trip to juniors and seniors to learn about coastal restoration.  The field trip will take place on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 9-3 and will include oyster shell bagging to build a shoreline, a tour of a recent fresh water diversion project, and po-boys.  Let Mrs. Harper know if you are interested.
  • Juniors interested in going on a Service Trip with Courts for Kids to Guatemala or Panama this summer in fulfillment of their 100 hour service hour requirement should attend an informational meeting Thursday during the first half of lunch in St. Ignatius Hall.

Results:

  • Jesuit Sailing recently competed in the Allstate Sugar Bowl Great Oaks Invitational Regatta hosted by Southern Yacht Club.  Jesuit was one of 28 schools from across the country competing in the two day event.  Saturday in the qualifying round was Senior Dylan Davis and Sophomores Matthew Brown, Connor Fanberg, and Aidan McKoin.  They finished Second in their division, securing a spot in the championship round on Sunday.  Sunday saw the duo of Connor Fanberg and Aidan McKoin finishing Second overall and only 3 points out of first place.
  • Jesuit Swim Team swam two weekends ago at State. Congratulations to Jack Primeaux, Ben Breithaupt, Aiden Villars, and Enzo Solitario for setting a new state record in the 200-medley relay. Congratulations to Jack Primeaux for winning the 100 butterfly for the last two years and winning the 100 backstroke for the last three years with the state record. Congratulations to Enzo Solitario who won both the 50 free and the 100 free with All American Times. He also set a record in the 50 free. The team finished as state runners-up.
