With a commanding 63-point victory over its nearest competitor, the swim team claimed a state championship to cap off its 2022 season. Closing off the state meet with 365 points and six individual event first-place finishes, Jesuit swimmers additionally set three state records in the 200-yard medley relay, the 400-yard freestyle relay, and the 100-yard backstroke.

“My assistant coaches are incredible, and this team knew what was out there in front of them,” coach Bret Hanemann ‘85 told Nola.com. “Each one focused on their job and this is where we are now.”
