Each year, Jesuit invites volunteers to a thank you party on Carrollton & Banks. With hundreds of volunteers turning out to the Traditions Courtyard this past Friday evening to enjoy crawfish boiled and served by Dennis Seafood, this year’s event was as lively and convivial as ever.

“It takes countless hours from dedicated, hardworking volunteers to make everything we do at Jesuit possible,” said Maura Owers, Jesuit’s event and volunteer coordinator. “This annual crawfish boil is small token of our thanks that we hope it reminds our volunteers how important they are to the school’s mission and identity.”

The party was also coordinated by Cindy Wooderson from Jesuit’s event and volunteer office. “From major events such as the Bazaar and Celebration to the staffing the Blue Jay Shop and helping with annual giving drives, our volunteers represent the best of the Jesuit community,” Wooderson said.

Every year, volunteers also assist with admissions events from Welcome Day to Open House, provide food for faculty appreciation luncheons each semester, prepare used uniforms for the annual used uniform sale, pray for the Jesuit community as part of the Jesuit Mothers’ Rosary Group, and much more.
