Regular Order, Day 1

  • All JV and Varsity Quiz Bowl players should report to the chapel steps at the start of lunch today to take yearbook photos.
  • The Yearbook Club will meet today after school in Room 419.
  • The bowling team faces St. Therese this afternoon at AMF Lanes starting at 3:20.
  • Any juniors interested in doing Krewe de Camp for their service project will meet tomorrow at the start of lunch in Room 212.
  • The Phils Tech Crew is looking for new members.  If you are a maker or have an interest in lighting, sound, construction, painting, or any other behind the scenes creative work, stop by the Phils office, Room 201, at lunch or after school for more information and an application. 
  • Printing fees for the month of January have been distributed in home room. Students should pay these fees before Thursday, Feb. 10 to avoid losing computer services. Payments will be accepted in Room 215 before school, during 10-minute break, and at the lunch hour.
  • Senior Intramural basketball starts this week in the main gym. Games today are SADE vs Mid-City Mambas and Jack Gasquet and Friends vs Just Here to Ball. The schedule for the week is posted
  • An admissions representative from University of Alabama Huntsville will be visiting Jesuit during lunch today in Room 122. 

Results:

  • On Saturday, our Blue Jay wrestlers competed in the Junior Varsity and Junior High State Championships. The Junior Varsity team finished as State Runner-up with 9 Jays placing in the top 6. Freshman James Roniger and Sophomore Keegan Spiers finished in 5th place, sophomore Dom Carollo finished in 4th, and freshman Jack Heslin finished in 3rd. Finishing as JV State Runners-up were junior Luke Hopkins and sophomores Nate Stith and Aidan Nash. Sophomore Patrick Matthews and freshman Griffin Ellis both ended their seasons as Junior Varsity State Champions. The junior high wrestling team finished their season in 5th place as a team with 10 prefreshmen making the podium. Finishing in 6th place were Zach Friloux and Chris Stricker. Austin Indest finished his season taking 4th. Robert Morse, Quinn Anderson, Maes Martin, and Cole Puneky all finished in 3rd place. Sean Timler, JP Webre, and Brady Hunter would all end their first seasons with the wrestling team as Junior High State Champions. Congrats to all our JV and Junior High Blue Jays wrestlers on a successful season.
