Seven Period Day, Day 1A

• Any student-athlete who did not get measured for his letterman jacket in December should report tomorrow during lunch in the weight room. This will be your final chance to get measured.
• The quarter final of intramural football playoffs begins with Senior games tomorrow during the first half of lunch on Will Clark field. See the schedule on the bulletin board or on Canvas for details. 
• The varsity basketball team opens district play tomorrow night hosting Brother Martin in the Benson Arena with tip off set for 7:00.  The JV game begins at 5:45.

Results:

• Prior to Christmas the 8th grade basketball team defeated Hannan, 29-23. Tanner Hughes, Sven Jensen, Brennan Pitts, and Brady Autin all had multiple baskets. Michael Brothers, Beau Matulewski, Tyler Oufnac, and Nelson Bensel provided strong defense.
• Over the holiday, the wresting team finished 2nd at the Beast on the Bayou tournament at Shaw. Our Blue Jay wrestlers defeated East Ascension 52-30 in the first round. They would follow that up by winning 11 of 14 matches in the semi final dual to defeat Catholic 52-15. Seniors Dennis Dougherty and Jackson Ballay, sophomore Arthur Schott, and Freshman Bodi Harris all went undefeated at the tournament.
