Regular Order, Day 4

• Today we return to a common lunch period. All students will go to lunch after 4th period.
• Intramural football registration forms can be picked up starting today outside Room 114.  Prefreshmen will compete as homerooms and freshmen through seniors will form their own teams by grade level.  The entry cost per team is $20.  Any student may play except those who are currently on the JV or varsity football roster.  Forms and fees are due to Room 114 by Friday.  Games begin next week.  See Mr. Augustin in Room 225 with any questions.
• Student 2 Student, a confidential support group for students in all grade levels, will have an informational meeting today during the first half of lunch in Room 202. Please see Mrs. Favalora in the guidance office if you have any questions.
• The Anime Club will meet today after school in Room 121.
• All Seniors must report tomorrow during the first half of lunch to the auditorium for a graduation announcements presentation from Balfour.
• All juniors must report tomorrow during the second half of lunch to the auditorium for a senior ring presentation from Balfour.
• Friday we will celebrate the Mass of the Holy Spirit.  Students are to come to school wearing a dress coat, dress shirt, tie, slacks, belt, dress shoes and socks you may wear a suit if you wish. You must wear your coat and tie for homeroom and mass. Freshmen through seniors will be dismissed after Mass. Prefreshmen will report to their class level retreat
• School day picture retakes and makeups will take place Friday after the Mass of the Holy Spirit until 11am in St. Ignatius Hall.
• Admissions representatives from Yale University and Wake Forest University will be virtually visiting Jesuit during lunch today in Rooms 121 and 122.  Please come at the beginning the first or second half of lunch.

Results:

• Congratulations to the Jesuit Cross Country team for their victory in Baton Rouge at the Catholic High Meet. Sophomore Michael Vocke and junior Jack DesRoches finished within fractions of a second from each other while sophomore Lucas Sampedro followed them closely.  Vocke, DesRoches, and Sampedro finished 1^st, 2^nd, and 4^th overall.  The freshman dynamic duo of Leland Crawford and Brady Mullen closed out the scoring for the Jays finishing 10^th and 11^th respectively.  The Junior pair of Aeric Wender and Robert Buisson provided much needed insurance as Jesuit’s final two finishers. The Jays scored 28 point beating Catholic who scored 43.
• Congratulations to the Varsity Football Team as they defeated the St. Aug Purple Knights 42-12 on Friday night. Offensively, the Blue Jays were led by a dominating offensive line performance with Seniors Josh Berault, Jack Gasquet, and Matthew Correa who paved the way for over 300 yards rushing.  Defensively, the Jays were led in tackles by Junior Safety Jake Cannizaro and Senior Linebacker Dennis Dougherty who forced 2 fumbles. Junior Cornerback Nick Foley added a key interception.
