In a nail-biting semifinal matchup against the John Curtis Patriots (20–7), the Jesuit baseball team (30–6) came home from Sulfur, LA with a victory that will send them to the LHSAA Division I finals.

The hard-won 4–3 victory came after a walk-off single by senior Dartmouth-commit Zack Casebonne, whose game-ending RBI broke a multiple-inning stalemate. Senior Hayden Morris scored the final run. All-around solid performances from the Jesuit lineup contributed to the playoff victory; junior Holden Hess pitched most of the game with senior Sean Cashman closing out the day for the Jays by putting away all six Patriot batters that he faced. ‘We’re not done yet’: Jesuit eyes state baseball championship after Zack Casebonne’s winning hit against John Curtis
