Jays Bowling Strikes

The Jesuit Bowling Team is back in action with a great start to their 2021 season. The bowlers earned two early victories against Kenner Discovery, Rummel, and  defeating all 27-0, 24-3, and  respectively. 

Both matches displayed the overpowering talent by the bowlers. Individually, the team is led by Collin Pearce ‘22, Benjamin Hunn ‘21, and Gary Sims ‘22. Also, Will Carpenter ‘23, Luke Wood ’23, and Tyler Westfall ‘21 have had great showings early. 

Against Kenner Discovery, Pearce had the highest game of the match at 245. Moreover, Ben Hunn had a strong three game performance with a 662. Wood also had a steady showing posting a 616 series.

Against Rummel, the Jays kept a balanced performance across the board. Michael Mcgovern ‘21 posted a 238 while Sims set a match high at 267 and Carpenter followed closely behind with a 257.

Head Coach Todd Bourgeois ‘88 and Assistant Coach Tom Bagwil have an impressive team this year with high aspirations. As the season continues, the bowlers will face district rivals Holy Cross and Brother Martin. All students are encouraged to follow and support the bowlers as they continue their spectacular start to 2021.
