Day 1

Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception

  • Today starts Christmas Week! Today’s event is Christmas Caroling Karaoke and Cookies for Santa. Come down to the Commons during lunch for some Christmas songs and cookies.
  • Stop by the Campus Ministry Office, Room 225, today to collect your free rosary in honor of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
  • Homerooms should begin door decorating this week. If wrapping paper is needed, come to the student council office, Room 113. Judging will take place Thursday after school. The most creative door from each grade wins a prize.
  • The National Honor Society’s recycling program will continue today. All NHS members who wish to participate should report to Room 120 directly after school. 
  • The Mock Trial Team will hold an organizational meeting today at 6:15 pm in Room 122.
  • The Asian will meet today after school in Room 111.
  • The Fencing Club will have its first meeting today after school outside the library.
  • The varsity soccer team will host Holy Cross this evening at John Ryan Stadium starting at 5:15. The jv game follows at 7:15.
  • The varsity basketball team will host Hahnville tonight in the Benson Arena with tip off set for 7:00.
  • The JV basketball team plays Hahnville this afternoon in the Benson Arena starting at 5:00.
  • The 8th grade basketball team will host Lusher this afternoon in the Benson Arena starting at 4:00.
  • The Creative Writing Club will meet tomorrow after school in Room 120.
  • Any throwers who want to compete in Track and Field should meet tomorrow after school in Room 112.  This meeting includes all veteran and new throwers.
  • Any students interested in participating in a coastal restoration project on Saturday in St. Bernard Parish should see Mr. Murphy in Room 225 to sign up.
  • All 10th and 11th graders are reminded that they can access their PSAT scores online starting today. Students should log into or create an account with the College Board to view and print scores by going to the following link: https://studentscores.collegeboard.org/home. More detailed information about accessing PSAT scores can be found on the Guidance Canvas page.
  • Seniors: Thursday, Dec. 10 is the final deadline to submit Counseling Request Forms for any school you are applying to. Please submit all forms by the end of the day Thursday as they will not be accepted after that date.
