Day 6

  • Homeroom representative elections for the General Student Council will take place tomorrow through Thursday.
  • A limited amount of Jesuit student-only pre-sale priced tickets for Saturday’s varsity football game vs. John Curtis at Joe Yenni Stadium with kickoff at 11:00 a.m. will be made available for purchase today and on Tuesday during the lunch periods in the student commons.  The price of a Jesuit student-only ticket is $5.00.  Any remaining tickets available for purchase will go on general pre-sale later this week.
  • All sophomores are to report to the auditorium at the start of their respective lunch period today for a class level meeting with Coach Songy.  Do not miss this meeting.
  • All juniors are to report to the auditorium during the start of their respective lunch period for class level meetings with Coach Songy on Tuesday, Oct. 27.  Do not miss this meeting.
  • There will be an informational meeting for Yearbook today after school in room 419. All are welcome. 
  • Beach Volleyball will practice today at 4:30 at White Sands and games will be on Wednesday.
  • Soccer tryouts for the JV and Varsity soccer teams only will begin today. Soccer tryouts for the 8th and 9th Grade teams will begin on Monday, Nov. 2. All tryouts will be held at the soccer fields on Marconi Drive in City Park. Tryouts will start at 3:30 and finish at 5:15.
  • Halloween Movie Night will take place this Friday at 7:00 PM in the auditorium. All students are encouraged to attend. See the posted flyers or the website for more details.
  • Admission representatives from Boston University and Rhodes College will be available immediately after school today in Rooms 120-122.
  • Coach’s Comment: If you drive to school, you are required to register your vehicle with the Discipline Office.  You are also required to obey the law regarding parking in the neighborhood.  The neighborhood residents have been justified in their complaints regarding your parking, and cars are being towed.  If you have any questions about your parking, see Coach Songy, Coach Roule, or LT, and we will help you understand the rules.

Results:

  • This past Saturday, the 8th grade swim team finished their season undefeated by winning the Metro Middle School Championship at Cypress Lakes with a total of 426 points. Both the 200 yard medley relay team-composed of Evan Kee, Bryan Santos, Enzo Solitario, and Connor LaCour-as well as the 200 yard freestyle relay team-composed of Evan Kee, Luke Balhoff, Egan Palmisano, and Enzo Solitario-placed first. Enzo Solitario had an outstanding performance, placing first in all of his individual events – 50 yard free, 100 yard IM, and the 100 yard free. Congratulations.
