Second Quarter Exam Week

  • Today’s exams are Science and Theology. Tomorrow’s exams are English, Biology II, Chemistry II, and Computer Studies.
  • Students should not be in the hallways during the exam period or between exam periods.  Once you complete your exam you should exit the hallways quietly.  You may remain in the Commons, Resource Center, or the yard during this time.
  • Jesuit High School Offices will be closed for the Christmas holidays from Monday, Dec. 23, at 1:00 p.m. through Wednesday, Jan. 1. School offices will reopen on Thursday, Jan. 2, at 7:30 a.m. Any school business, including (but not limited to) transcript requests, certification of required school attendance (for driving permits/licenses), and work permits, must be taken care of by 1:00 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, or it will have to wait until offices reopen on Jan. 2.
  • The Last Chance registration deadline for the Hoops for the Holidays Basketball Tournament is Wednesday at 10am. Turn in forms to Room 114 to reserve a spot for your team. Forms can be slid under the door.

Results:

  • Over the weekend the 8th grade basketball team went 2-1 in the John Curtis tournament, earning tough victories over Newman and Shaw. Against Newman, the Jays were led by Ali Mohammad’s 12 points. Jude LaForge and Harry Treigle each scored 11. Against Shaw, Jude LaForge led all scorers with 15 points, while Luke Couret, Harry Treigle, Gus Laibe, and P.J. Varisco provided strong defense.
  • On Friday, the basketball team defeated Frederick Douglas 36 – 23. Porter Lichtl led the way scoring 10 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. Malcolm Baldwin had three steals.On Saturday, the basketball team defeated Ellender 50-44. Patrick Lavie led all scorers with 19 and Kyle Haupt added 10. The defensive effort, that held the opposition to 2 third quarter points was led by Luke LaForge, Malcolm Baldwin and Christopher Gillen. The team thanks all of you who came out to support them this weekend.
