The Jesuit Blue Jays will play the Crusaders of Brother Martin for the 2019 Lacrosse District Championship on Saturday, May 4, at Joe Yenni Stadium (6 PM).

Two handfuls of goals in the second quarter alone helped No. 1 Jesuit cruise past No. 4 North Shore, 21-4, in the first round of the Louisiana High School Lacrosse League (LHSLL) South District Playoffs. Ross Champagne scored three of his game-high four goals in the decisive second period that saw seven Jesuit players find the back of the net. Blue Jay goalie Cooper Posecai made several big saves, blanking North Shore in the second quarter. Posecai saved seven of the eight shots North Shore took in his only half of play.

The win improves Jesuit’s LHSLL record to 10-1 and advances the Blue Jays into the LHSLL Quarterfinals where they will face the No. 3 Crusaders (4-4), who upset No.2 Newman (9-3) in their first round game.
