(WATCH) The Blue Jay Marching Band was featured on WGNO’s Friday Night Bands.

The Blue Jay Marching Band was featured on WGNO’s Friday Night Bands which celebrates the great bands in the New Orleans metro area. It touches on the history and traditions of the Blue Jay Band while also commending its integration of modern technology into its performances. Jesuit is the first high school band in Louisiana to go paperless with eFlip!

Be sure to support the musical Jays as they participate in the  LMEA District VI Marching Band Festival on Monday, Oct. 29, at Joe Yenni Stadium. The competition will be comprised of 16 bands from the metro area spanning as far as Plaquemines Parish and Loranger. Teams will be graded on four classifications — overall band, auxiliary (Jayettes), percussion (pit and battery percussion), and drum majors — which are each rated I–V, I being the highest grade of “superior.”
