In the 2017-2018 school year, 41 Blue Jay student-athletes merited the Jesuit High School Multi-Sport Award. The award is a tangible acknowledgement of the dedication and hard work of student-athletes, especially during the summer when they balance the demands of two sports.  It also speaks of students’ willingness to welcome broader interaction and to be open to different roles, experiences, and influences. Jesuit’s athletic department and the administration are extremely grateful to these student-athletes and their families for their ability to juggle multiple sports.

The increase in the number of multi-sport lettermen could not have occurred without the athletic department’s belief in and promotion of the benefits of multi-sport participation. Jesuit’s longtime athletic director, Dave Moreau, offers his thanks to each coach, saying, “Your cooperation among each other and consideration for the student-athlete has been instrumental in providing a setting for multi-sport participation to occur. I thank you for your efforts as they have been very much noticed and truly appreciated.”

Finally, the athletic department shines a deserving spotlight on two recent graduates of the Class of 2018, who lettered in three sports during their senior year. The senior three-sport athletes for the 2017-18 school year were Jonathan Arnold (Cross Country/Tennis/Track & Field) and Michael Hull (Football/ Basketball/ Track & Field).
