Tennis Team Takes Out Newman

Jesuit’s tennis team notched a 7-0 shutout win over Newman on Tuesday, March 21 at the UNO Tennis Center.

Senior Jack Steib led the way, scoring a tough 8-6 win at Line 1 singles, and then teaming up with senior Trey Hamlin for an 8-2 win at Line 1 doubles.

In singles play, Jesuit’s other three wins were picked up by freshman Jojo Sandoz at Line 2 (8-2), senior Graham Buck at Line 3 (8-0), junior Andrew Ryan at Line 4 (8-1).

In doubles competition, Buck and Sandoz teamed up for an 8-2 win at Line 2, while Ryan partnered with junior Christian Lacoste for an 8-5 win on Line Three.

Jesuit hits the road on Thursday for the DecoTurf High School Tennis Championships in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
