Parents of Blue Jays in all grades are strongly encouraged to attend the Town Hall Meeting for the spring semester on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. As the term “town hall meeting” implies, the format will be one of presentations and panel discussion.

The speaker, Bridget Gardner, a nurse within the University Medical Center Level 1 trauma center, is the program director of Sudden Impact / Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force. The task force provides practical information for students, encouraging them to make better decision while driving on the roadway.

The topic will fit especially well with the school schedule, as juniors and seniors will witness the following school day (Friday, Feb. 10) a “Mock Trial” that revisits the aftermath of last year’s tragic “Mock Car Crash.”

Held twice per year, Jesuit’s Town Hall Meetings focus on topics affecting youth and their parents. These meetings are open to all parents, but participation of the parents of juniors and seniors is strongly encouraged. The meetings reflect timely topics affecting youth, and therefore change each year.

Parents were emailed a letter about this event. If you did not receive the email or if you have any questions, please contact Coordinator of Student Assessment and Development Donald Songy ’07 at songyd@jesuitnola.org or (504) 483-3828.
