The Blue Jays welcome the Raiders of Rummel to the Birdcage on Tuesday night, Jan. 19, with tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m.

SportsNOLA.com plans to be there and provide a live video stream. “Prep Basketball Presented by First NBC Bank” features a live video stream that will begin just before tipoff.

SportsNOLA sportscasters Ken Trahan and Bill Gallagher will call the action.

The game is a key District 9-5A basketball game with the winner moving into sole possession of second place in the league.

The Jays are 7-12 overall and 2-1 in district. After a tough loss to Holy Cross in the Birdcage, Jesuit won its next two district games on the road, defeating John Curtis, 37-31, and Shaw, 55-50. Rummel is 11-10 overall and 2-1 in district play. The Jays and Raiders both trail first-place St. Augustine by 1 1/2 games in the league race.

Admission is free for Jesuit and Rummel students with IDs. Admission is $5 for adults and students from other schools; $3 for children ages 6-11.
