Junior Jandon Briscoe (pictured here at the 2015 district meet) won the 400 meter run with a time of 49.7 seconds.

Several members of the track and field team made Blue Jay history for their performances in the 2016 LHSAA state indoor track and field championship on Saturday, Feb. 20 at LSU’s Carl Maddox Field House.

The 4×800 meter relay team of seniors John Nimmo and juniors Max Bell, Eli Sisung, and Tanner Tresca took home a fifth place finish, while Senior Carlos Zervigon set a school record with his 9:55 performance in the 3200 meter run. In addition, junior Jandon Briscoe won the 400 meter event with a time of 0:49.7.
