Parents of incoming students attended the New Parents’ Orientation — a presentation and reception in the Auditorium and Student Commons — on Saturday, April 18. The presentation provided the parents an overview of the school’s history and of the year to come for the incoming freshmen and pre-freshmen.

Following the presentation, a reception afforded the opportunity to meet other new parents of Blue Jays. Many veteran Jesuit mothers and fathers also assisted with the event, helping with logistics and greeting the incoming parents.

New parents also received complimentary tickets to the Philelectic Society’s spring production of The Music Man. Additionally, the Blue Jay Shop was open for parents to purchase Jesuit clothing and gear.

The newest group of Blue Jays will receive their own introduction to Jesuit on Welcome Day on Saturday, May 9. In the meantime, new parents may brush up on their “Jesuit vocabulary” on the Jesuit A to Z page, or peruse the Parents page for frequently-used Jesuit resources.
