Mrs. Anne Bryant-Breaux’s two English IV classes hosted a medieval feast with dishes authentic to the medieval period. The cafeteria was transformed into the Tabard Inn, the place Geoffrey Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales pilgrims begin their journey on the way to Canterbury Cathedral. Several Blue Jays also appeared as Chaucer’s Monk, Friar, Yeoman, and Pardoner. The feast was held in celebration after reading and studying the Canterbury Tales “General Prologue” and various tales within the framed narrative.
