The Class of 2016 showed great enthusiasm with 40 Blue Jays signing up to participate in Jesuit’s Career Shadowing program. In years past, up to 30 students per class signed up to spend their summer days between senior exams and graduation in the program.

Since 2005, the guidance department has coordinated Career Shadowing for graduating seniors. This program gives seniors with a genuine interest in a particular profession the opportunity to meet and work with successful community professions (many of whom are alumni). This year’s seniors had a diverse set of interests as they were paired with professionals from fields of medicine, politics, engineering, restaurant management, museum curator, dentistry, finance, law enforcement, graphic design, film and marine biology.

Local professionals interested in participating in this valuable program should contact the senior class guidance counselor in the Guidance Office.
