The Phils’ Senior-Directed Plays and Improv Festival Ends Saturday

Phils_2016_OneActsFestivalPosterThe Jesuit Philelectic Society presents the 2016 Senior-Directed One-Act Play and Improv Comedy Festival for its final weekend Jan. 29-30. General admission is $5 or five cans of food. All proceeds will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank.

The nine one-act shows are directed by seniors from Jesuit, NOCCA, and Mount Carmel. The senior-directed shows include “Echo,” directed by Cameron McCall; “Great American Love Story,” directed by Emily Bagwill (NOCCA); “No Exit,” directed by Ben Gillen; “Take Five,” directed by Thomas Hellmers; “Rise & Shine,” directed by Adam Ledet; “The Bad Seed,” directed by Paul Ineich; “Pity The Fool,” directed by Bridget Wallis (Mount Carmel); and “Big Iron,” directed by Henry Mason. Additionally, the original New Orleans mini-musical “Cinderella Batistella” is directed by Mrs. Kate Arthurs-Goldberg.

Final Weekend Performance Schedule

Friday, Jan. 29, 7:30 p.m. – “Great American Love Story,” “Take Five,” “Rise & Shine,” INTERMISSION, J-Troupe*, “Cinderella Battistella” (Green cast)

Saturday, Jan. 30, 2:00 p.m. – “Rise & Shine,” “Pity the Fool,” “Big Iron,” INTERMISSION, J-Troupe*, “Cinderella Battistella” (Gold cast)

*The J-Troupe will perform 10-15 minutes at the end of each intermission.
