The Jesuit lacrosse team ran its record to 2-0 by beating Mandeville High School, 15-2, on Thursday, Jan. 29. The match was played at Muss Bertolino in Kenner.

Senior Cameron Guernsey led the way with five goals and three assists. Junior Max Murret and sophomore Noah Martin had three goals apiece, while junior Dave Zazulak had a goal and three asissts. Sophomores Briggs Lucia and Parker Simoneaux, and senior Garret Perez had one goal each.

Senior Robert Zazulak led the defensive effort with three takeaways.

Senior Eric Wright had four saves in goal.

In their season opener on Jan. 17, the Jays trounced Lafayette, 16-2.

The Blue Jays will face much tougher competition this weekend when they compete in a tournament hosted by Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas.
