Blue Jays Ties Niceville, 15-15, in Weekend Competition
Saturday, February 27, the Jesuit rugby team traveled to Mobile, Alabama for a
game against Niceville High School (Florida). The game ended on a 15-15 tie.
Tries were scored by Jeff Mauras, Sean Donovan, John Eumont.

Jesuit Rugby Splits Games Against St. Thomas

this past Saturday at St. Thomas High School. Jesuit Rugby A dropped
a game to St. Thomas, 32-12, but Jesuit B came through
with a win against St. Thomas, 42-0.

Blue Jays Defeat Raiders, 35-12

The Jays went on to win the contest, 35-12.

Jesuit Rugby in 2009 State Final Tournament
Junior Mason Triay exploits a seam in the defensive front to advance the ball
for the Jays. In the state final tournament, Jesuit fell short in both of their matches
to Br. Martin and Archbishop Shaw on Saturday, April 18 at the Gretna Pitch.

Blue Jay Rugby Slips in Season Opener to St. Thomas More (Houston, Tx.)
Senior Andrew Puente makes a move to gain more yards for the Blue Jays.
Jesuit’s season opener against St. Thomas More from Houston, Texas,
fell short from the team’s desired goal.
St. Thomas won the match, 34-7.

Jesuit Rugby Captures 2008 South Regional Title
Blue Jays line up for a scrum at the Rugby Regional Tournament
this past weekend in Tennessee. Congratulations to the
Jesuit rugby team for successfully defending their South Regional Title
by defeating teams from Tennessee, North Carolina, and Georgia .
The Jays have won this title in 2005, 2007, and now 2008.
Jesuit now travels to the National Rugby Tournament in Pittsburgh, PA.
