Jesuit's MCJROTC Celebrates the 234th USMC Birthday
Jesuit’s MCJROTC celebrated the 234th birthday of the United States Marine Corp, Tuesday afternoon in Traditions Courtyard and in the Student Commons.
Jesuit Principal Michael Giambelluca was the honorary guest at the brief ceremony. In his remarks, Mr. Giambelluca thanked the Marines and Jesuit's MCJROTC for their efforts in all their endeavors.
After the cutting of the cake, Blue Jays enjoyed a special treat with their lunch.

Jesuit's MCJROTC Program Garners Top Regional Honor from the U.S. Marine Corps

On Friday during morning assembly, Lt. Colonel Mark H. Stroman recognized Jesuit’s MCJROTC program for achieving overall excellence.
In competition with 42 other MCJROTC programs from seven other Southern states, Jesuit has earned this regional distinction through its dedication to academic excellence, community service, and drill performances, among other criteria.

Fifteen schools gathered at Jesuit on Saturday morning to display their skill and fitness at the 21st Annual Jesuit MCJROTC Drill and Athletic Competition.
ROTC teams from the following high schools participated in this year’s drill: Fontainebleau, St. Amant, Warren Central, Northshore, Grace King, Riverdale, Bogalusa, Higgins, Mandeville, Franklinton, Jesuit, Alexandria, Ponchatoula, Gulfport, and Willowridge.

Jesuit's MCJROTC Nationally Recognized as an Honor School
Congratulations to Jesuit’s MCJROTC for earning the exclusive USMC designation of “Honor School.” At Friday’s morning assembly, the MCJROTC regional director Lt. Col Mark Stroman, USMC (Ret.), announced this distinction to the school community. To receive this national recognition, which is only bestowed upon the top 20% of the MCJROTC high school programs in the nation, participants must pass stringent inspections, succeed in challenging drill competitions, and offer many hours of service to the needy.
