Dress Code for Jesuit Dances

These are general explanations of casual, semi-formal, and formal attire.

All clothing worn to dances must be in good condition and in good taste.

For semi-formal and formal dances, boys must arrive and leave with coat on.  Shirts must be kept tucked in, and ties must be worn throughout the duration of the dance.

Girls’ dresses must be modest and appropriate for the stated dress code of the dance.  Boys are responsible for communicating all dress code requirements to their dates.

The Jesuit administration is the final judge of the appropriateness of students’ attire.

Casual (Back-to-School Dance)

Shorts, t-shirts, and tennis shoes in good condition are acceptable.  Collared shirts are suggested for boys.

Semi-Formal (Ring Dance, Homecoming Dance)

Boys: Coat and tie, dress shirt, slacks, belt, socks, dress shoes.

Girls: Long or short semi-formal dress.

Formal (Senior Prom, Junior Prom)

Boys: Tuxedo (black and/or white coat and pants).

Girls: Full-length formal dress.
