Still smarting from the agony of their football defeat at the hands of the Jesuit faculty last October (Senior/ Faculty Football Game), seniors-- under the moniker of the
Mighty Ducks-- challenged the scrappy freshmen Blue inline hockey team in effort to recapture the thrill of victory. Never a group to back down from a challenge, Jesuit “Blue agreed to face their senior competition.

Monday night, the Ducks waddled out on the floor at the Airline Skate Center to warm up and face the feisty freshmen Blue. While the Ducks honked and hollered, the Blue prepared to match up against a squad bigger and definitely more experienced in age.

The Ducks scored first in the three period match, but it wasnt too long afterward that the freshmen came through with a score to tie the game. The Ducks soon realized they could not sit back and preen their feathers. Although the Blue had more shots on goal than the seniors, the Ducks managed to stay in formation and take advantage of the shots they had at the Blues goal to win the game.

The freshmen played tough Monday night, and the Mighty Ducks can now finally brag they defeated a freshmen squad.
