Mayor Mitch Landrieu ’78 Addresses Seniors of the Class of 2012 at Commencement Luncheon  Jesuit’s 11th Annual Commencement Luncheon welcomed the 262 seniors of the Class of 2012 into the Alumni Association. This popular event was held on Friday, May 4 in the Armstrong Ballroom of the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel on Canal Street. At the 10th Annual Commencement Luncheon, Blue Jays from the Class of 2011 Are Honored as Newest Alums
 The Armstrong Ballroom in the Sheraton Hotel on Canal Street was the setting for the 10th annual Commencement Luncheon on Friday (April 29). More than 500 Blue Jays, including the 264 seniors from the Class of 2011, attended this popular event. Ben Walsh '79 was this year's guest speaker and had his audience in stitches as he tossed out what must have been some 250 or so one-liners. Walsh is a funny alumnus and as Benny the Jokeman, he is a frequent contributor to Jay Leno's monologue. The event marks the formal occasion of members of the Class of 2011 joining the Jesuit Alumni Association.

Seniors of the Class of 2010 Are Guests of Honor at Annual Commencement Luncheon
 The Class of 2010 gathers on stage at the start of the 9th annual Commencement Luncheon on Friday, April 30 at the Sheraton Hotel. The 260 seniors surrounded the Lombardi Trophy, which can be seen in the middle of the photo. Guest speaker Dennis Lauscha ’87, who is chief financial officer of the New Orleans Saints, brought the prize with him to the luncheon and addressed Blue Jays about the importance of staying connected to Jesuit High School.

Jesuit High School’s 8th annual Commencement Luncheon took place Friday, May 1, welcoming the Class of 2009 into the ranks of Blue Jay alumni. Approximately 200 Jesuit alumni attended the event at the Sheraton  Sal Liberto ’90

New Orleans Canal, where they sat with the 246 seniors of the Class of 2009. This year’s guest speaker was Sal Liberto ’90, who is the vice-president for enrollment at Loyola University.

Class of 2008 Welcomed into Jesuit Alumni Association at Annual Commencement Luncheon  The 2008 Commencement Luncheon begins with the traditional processing in of the senior class to the stage area as the Jesuit fight song plays.

At the 7th annual Jesuit High School Commencement Luncheon, which was held Friday, May 2, the 274 graduating seniors of the Class of 2008 were formally welcomed into the ranks of Blue Jay alumni.
Some 225 Jesuit alumni were on hand to congratulate seniors at the event. Jesuit dads sat with sons, uncles with nephews, and there were a few three-generation Blue Jay families.
Featured speaker Alan Donnes '79 served up the right concoction for the occasion, mixing his dry sense of humor with serious reflections about his kidney disease, his father's inspiration and love, and how Jesuit prepared him to meet the challenges of life. 2008 Commencement Luncheon Photo Gallery

Newest Flock of Blue Jays Are Members of the Class of 2007 Seniors -- happy, relieved, and hungry -- scurry to their tables at the start of the 2007 Commencement Luncheon.
| The 2007 Commencement Luncheon was held Friday at the Hilton Riverside with 270 seniors joined by some 200 alumni who welcomed them to the official ranks of Blue Jay alumni. This year’s guest speaker was Dr. Richard Deichmann ’75 (below left), who spoke about his experiences helping to organize the evacuation of hundreds of patients and staff at Memorial Medical Center following Hurricane Katrina. |
Steve Morgan Lights the Hearts of 2006 Seniors with Enthusiastic and Encouraging Words Steve Morgan of the Class of 1968 lights a match to symbolize the light that each graduating Blue Jay brings to the world. Morgan was the keynote speaker at the 2006 Seniors’ Commencement Luncheon. Now in its 5th year, the popular event ushers new graduates into the ranks of Jesuit alumni.
The 2006 Seniors’ Commencement Luncheon was held Friday, May 12 at the Sheraton Hotel. This year's guest speaker was Steve Morgan ’68, a nationally acclaimed motivational speaker who has faced audiences of all sizes, from small groups of judges and doctors to large corporate assemblies to students and parents. His enthusiasm and spirited talk inspired the Class of 2006 as well as the more than 200 alumni in attendance. |
