Jesuit (1) vs. Newman (0)
Monday, February 2, 2009 -- Newman Field

The final game of the regular season for the Blue Jays was a scrappy, hard-fought contest
against Newman on the Greenie’s home field. There were several anxious moments
for the Jays who established a defensive wall in front of their goal on numerous occasions
to stop plays like this one. Backing up winning goalie Stephen Andrieu are, from left,
Charles Kleinschmidt, John Barbara, Trey Kramer, and Colin Sens.

Junior defensive back Connor Jackson goes one-on-one with a Greenie.

Ouch! With a bullseye painted on his head,

but his Greenie opponent gets in the way.

Patrick Mullins seems to be inviting teammate Charles Kleinschmidt to hurry up and
kick the ball before the Greenies close a gaping hole in front of their goal.
Kleinschmidt obliged by knocking the ball in for Jesuit’s only goal of the evening.
