Wayde Keiser – Head Coach
Wayde Keiser, a graduate of the class of 1978, begins his third year as head mentor of the Blue Jay football team. In both campaigns as head coach at Jesuit, Keiser has led his squads into the state playoffs, with the 2007 edition earning a share of the District 10-5A title along the way. A 25-year coaching veteran, Keiser spent the early years of his coaching career as an assistant at Vandebilt Catholic in Houma from 1982 through 1985 and Teurlings Catholic in Lafayette in 1986 and 1987 before returning to Jesuit to work as a member of Frank Monica’s 1988 coaching staff. After his one-year stint at Jesuit, Keiser moved on to serve as head coach at Vermilion Catholic in 1989 and 1990 and St. Charles Catholic from 1991 through 1999. Keiser then accepted a position as an assistant at East St. John in 2000 and 2001 prior to being named as the head coach at Brother Martin and served in that role from 2002 through 2005. Additionally, Keiser was an LHSAA Executive Committee member and served as the president of the Louisiana High School Coaches’ Association in 2001. A graduate of St. Mary of the Plains College in Dodge City, Kansas, with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Keiser teaches Economics and Health & Physical Education at Jesuit. He and his wife, Leah, reside in Metairie with their sons, Westley ’05 22, Casey 19, and Connor 12.
Chris LaMothe – Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks
Chris LaMothe begins his fifth year at Carrollton and Banks as the offensive coordinator and the quarterbacks coach after being in charge of running backs on the 2000 staff. LaMothe began his coaching career at Redeemer-Seton, serving as head coach from 1996-1999, before moving to Jesuit for the 2000 season. From 2001-2005 LaMothe was the offensive coordinator at Holy Cross while also mentoring the quarterbacks. A graduate of the University of Louisiana-Lafayette with a degree in Business Administration, LaMothe teaches Theology. He and wife, Theresa, reside in Metairie.
Troy Baglio – Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Line
Now beginning his 11th year at Jesuit, Baglio, who has always mentored the defensive line, will double his duties by also serving as defensive coordinator. A graduate of Southeastern Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science, Fitness, and Sports Medicine, Baglio played four years on the defensive line as a nose guard and tackle and was twice named to the All-American squad. Baglio chairs the Health & Physical Education Department and serves as assistant track coach. He and his wife, Gina, reside in Montz with their two children, Dalton 8 and Madison 5.
Richard Bohn – Linebackers
Bohn begins his third year on the Blue Jay staff again as the linebacker coach. An 11-year coaching veteran, Bohn has worked previously at East St. John, Brother Martin, and Delcambre. A graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science degree, Bohn teaches Health & Physical Education and also serves as head coach in track and field.
Gino Giambelluca – Wide Receivers
Giambelluca begins his second year as a member of the Blue Jay coaching staff again as wide receiver coach after holding similar duties at Archbishop Shaw in 2006 and 2007. After graduating from Holy Cross in 2001, Giambelluca received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University in 2006. At LSU, Giambelluca was a wide receiver and special teams player on the 2003 BCS National Championship Team. Giambelluca teaches biology and physical science and also serves as freshmen baseball coach.
Graham Jarrot
Jarrot begins his first season at Jesuit as the offensive line coach after serving as the offensive coordinator at De La Salle for the 2007 and 2008 campaigns. Prior to his two-year stint at De La Salle, Jarrot coached the offensive line at Brother Martin from 2003-2006. A graduate of Nicholls State University with a B.A. in General Studies, Jarrot played four years on the offensive line from 1999 to 2003. Jarrot will teach World Geography at Jesuit. He and his wife, Cheryl, reside in Metairie.
Nick Nolfe – Running Backs
In his first year at Carrollton and Banks, Nolfe assumes the duties of running backs coach. Early stops in Nolfe’s coaching career saw him coach receivers at Holy Cross from 1990 through 1993 and Catholic High of Baton Rouge in 1997 and 1998. Nolfe returned to Holy Cross serving as both passing game coordinator and receivers coach from 1999-2001 before moving to Archbishop Shaw to perform similar duties on the Eagle staff in 2002 and 2003. Nolfe’s most recent coaching stint was at St. Paul’s from 2003-2008 where he served as running backs coach. A graduate of Centenary College with a degree in Geology and a master’s degree in Agronomy from Louisiana State University, Nolfe will teach both Chemistry and Physical Science at Jesuit. He and his wife, Deborah, reside in Mandeville with their three children, Chloe 10, Isabella 7, and Joseph 6.
Kurt Werling – Kickers
Werling begins his third year on the Blue Jay staff. Prior to joining the staff, he privately tutored kickers, punters, and holders on both the high school and collegiate levels for 12 years. A 1991 graduate of Jesuit, Werling went on to play collegiately at Tulane in 1991 and 1992 before transferring to and receiving his degree in construction management from Northeast Louisiana University in 1995. Kurt and his wife, Renée, reside in New Orleans with their three children, Kurt Joshua 7, Luke Jude 4, and Mary-Katherine 2.
