The Class of 69 sent a trio of its best barbecue chefs to the tournament to grill several hundred burgers and hots dogs for alumni golfers and their guests. Proving they were up to the outdoor culinary task are David Latham, Wayne Robichaux, and Wally Landry.

Nobody won the set of Tour Burners (nor the Chevy Tahoe from Banner Chevrolet), but that did not stop this foursome of Harry Vorhaben 65 and his son Quinn Vorhaben 96, along with guests Al deBaroncelli and Chris Trahan, from taking their best shot at the prizes.
This trio played the par five third hole without putting as Emmett Smith 55 showed his son-in-law, Jimmy Holmes 83, and Mark Rodi 59, how its done. Smith hit a nice drive and put his second shot adjacent to the green. Smith then holed his chip shot for an eagle three.
Playing in the Jesuit golf tournament is music to the ears of these Blue Jay Band parents -- Arthur Roussel, Wayne Adams, Bill Poynot, and David Williams.
1968 classmates Lenny Caruso and Pat Mooney joined 1983 classmates Mike Varisco and Malcolm Schwarzenbach.

And, drum roll, please -- stringing together eight consecutive birdies and picking up five more birdies here and there on the par 67 course are 1st Place Winners -- James Marchand 88, Ronald Ceruti 88, Michael Touchy 67, and Tony Glorioso 64. The team shot a 13-under 54.
Blue Jay parent Dave Bennett won the closest-to-the hole contest.
Tim Finney 76 won the longest drive contest.
Hello Goodbye: Former Blue Jay athletic director Frank Misuraca greets Mary Tschantz and gives her a bon voyage hug. Mizzy rode in a cart dispensing refreshments to thirsty golfers. Mrs. Tschantz, who has worked at the school for seven years (the past three in the development and alumni office), is leaving Jesuit and moving with her family to Houston.
