Jesuit High School
Tuition Information

It is challenging to manage the finances of a large school given the parameter that in 163 years, no qualified young man has been refused admission to Jesuit because his family could not afford to pay all or part of the tuition. Obviously it takes a great deal of effort to ensure Jesuit remains available to young men from all socio-economic strata.

First and foremost, tuition must be kept at a level affordable to nearly all families.

Tuition for the 2011 - 2012 academic year is $7,400. This still represents one of the least expensive tuitions among Catholic and private high schools in the New Orleans area.

Facts About Jesuit Admissions

Jesuit flourishes because of the generosity of its alumni and its parents who recognize the importance and value of a Jesuit education. Each year, through the Parents' Annual Giving drive, parents voluntarily contribute the difference (the gap) between tuition and the actual cost of educating a Jesuit student. Parents give what they can afford. The gap for the 2010 - 2011 academic year was $2,517 (tuition was $7.000).

Alumni also help defray expenses and keep tuition affordable by their generous contributions to the Living Endowment Fund (LEF) drive.
