Fr. Anthony McGinn, S.J., joined by Fr. Donald Saunders, S.J. and Fr. Nick Schiro, S.J., welcomes new parents to Jesuit before beginning Mass.
Fr. McGinn offers his reflections on the day’s readings during his homily.
A small contingent of the Jesuit choir, under the direction of Mr. Jay Hooks, S.J., provides music at the Mass. At the piano is senior Gerard Suhor.
After Mass, parents met in the auditorium where Mr. Jack Truxillo, Jesuit’s admissions director, talked about upcoming events for new students.
After Mr. Truxillo’s presentation, Mr. Mat Grau, Jesuit’ s alumni director, is interrupted by St. Ignatius, played by theology teacher Dr. Thomas Spitzfaden.
Ignatius (Spitz) provides the new parents with a brief history of the Society of Jesus (The Jesuits).
Jesuit principal Michael Giambelluca informs parents about school life and events that take place on campus.
After the presentation in the auditorium, parents met in the Student Commons for a reception.
