7-Period Day, Day 3B

 

 

·        Used books can be turned in to Room 329 next Monday through Thursday from 9:00-11:30.  An envelope with your name, phone number, and name of the book should be placed in each book.  Do not leave any books in the hallway.

·        Donations to the Red Cross for relief for the victims of the recent disasters in Myanmar and China are being collected during break and the second half of lunch in the commons.

·        Muscle Punch smoothies will be available in the auditorium foyer after the 2^nd exam every day next week.  Cost is $2.50 for a 12-ounce cup.

·        The Blessed Miguel Pro CLC will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 222.

·        All members of next year’s 9^th-grade football team and any other 8^th-grader who wants to play 9^th-grade football should attend a brief meeting today during the first half of lunch in the Roussel Building PE classrooms.

·        The Blue Jay newspaper editors will meet today during the first half of lunch in the Room 122.

·        The Yearbook Staff will meet briefly today at the beginning of lunch in the Yearbook office.

·        All students who have signed up or want to sign up for driver's ed. should meet Mr. Goodlett at the second half of lunch in the commons.

·        The Italian Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 210.

·        The Choir will practice today during the second half of lunch in the Chapel of the North American Martyrs.

·        All 9^th, 10^th, and 11^th-grade baseball players are to meet Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the P.E. locker room.

·        Sophomores and juniors:  The United States Naval Academy will conduct an information session tomorrow from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Auditorium.  Check-in begins at 12:30 p.m.  See your college counselor.

·        Juniors working as counselors for Krewe de Camp (formerly called Camp Summertribe) are reminded of the meeting tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. in Room 329.

·        Juniors who will be working Operation Upgrade this summer should attend a training session on Tuesday at noon in Room 304.  Lunch will be provided.

Regular Order, Day 4

·        Any student in grades 8-11 planning to participate on an athletic team in the 2008-2009 school year is required to have completed an athletic physical before participation is allowed.  Jesuit will offer a complete physical exam for all current and prospective athletes this Saturday free of charge.  This will be the only time when physicals will be conducted at no cost.  Please check the website or contact an athletic staff member for further details.

·        All pre-freshmen going on the 8^th-grade trip to San Antonio should turn in their permission slips by the end of today to Mr. Orillion in Room 301.

·        All students and faculty who would like to learn more about Christian nonviolence and the war in Iraq are invited to Room 116 today during the first half of lunch.  Mr. Mueller will present the basics of Christian nonviolence as a response to war and show pictures from his trips to work in Iraq.

·        The swim team will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 132.

·        Juniors working with YRNO as a service project must meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 311.

·        All students who have signed up or want to sign up for driver's ed. should meet Mr. Goodlett at the second half of lunch in the commons.

·        All band members are reminded that there is rehearsal today immediately after school for graduation.  Rehearsal will last until 3:45.

·        The Italian Club will meet tomorrow during the second half of lunch in Room 210.

Mass Day Order, Day 5

·        The varsity football team will face the Archbishop Shaw Eagles in the annual spring game today at 5:30 p.m. at Tulane.  Both student and faculty ID’s will be accepted at the gate.  The admission price for adults is $3.00.

·        The Classic Rock Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 210.

·        BlaMary will perform a Brown Bag Concert today at lunch in the courtyard.

Regular Order, Day 7

·        Today during lunch, the 244^th Aviation Battalion of the Army National Guard will have a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter on the back field for a static display.  All students are welcome to visit with the crew and examine the helo during lunch.

·        Students who have not picked up letters from last Thursday’s Awards’ Night can get them in the Student Activities Office.

·        The summer ACT and SAT prep classes are completely filled.  No registrations are being taken.  Registrations for the fall courses, however, are being accepted.  Go to the Jesuit website or see Mr. Villarrubia for information.

·        Any student interested in working the switchboard, evenings and weekends, can pick up an information packet from the switchboard.

·        All baseball players (8^th-grade and above) will meet today at the first half of lunch in the P.E. locker room.

·        Bellarmine CLC will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 410.  New members from the junior class are welcome.

·        The Rugby Team will meet today during first half of lunch in Room 133.

·        The Junior Varsity Quiz Bowl team will have brief meeting today at the beginning of lunch in Room 323.

·        Tryouts for next year's Varsity Quiz Bowl Team will be held today during the first half of lunch in Room 228 and are open to all freshman, sophomores, and juniors.

·        Rising Senior Student Ministers attending the June retreat are reminded to meet briefly today during the second half of lunch in Room 410.

·        Juniors that have not turned in a final Service Project contract must meet with Mrs. Swan today during the second half of lunch in Room 329.

·        All members of last year’s 8^th-grade football team and any 8^th-grader who wants to join next year’s 9^th-grade football team should attend a short meeting today after school in the PE classrooms in the Roussel Building.
