   Bazaar Clarinetists


At the Blue Jay Bazaar on Sunday, March 28, the Jesuit Jazz Band
performed to the delight of the audience. The woodwind section

the North American Martyrs on Friday for the Stations of the Cross.
The service was led by Fr. Donald Saunders, S.J., Jesuit’s Chaplain.
Fr. Saunders was assisted by senior Ross Bourgeois,
and juniors Peter Casey and Matthew Martin.

   Jesuit's Mission Drive March Madness...


Mr. Nathan Halloran, S.J., takes down names and bids of students who are
participating in a Madden NFL and Fifa soccer video tournaments.
While tournament games will be played on the televisions in the
student commons during the lunch hour, the championship game
for each tournament will be played on the big screen
in the auditorium. Signing up with Mr. Halloran are
senior Blaine Perkins, sophomore Austin Duncan,
freshmen Nathan Langlois, and Quinn Fitzpatrick.

With the Superdome and the high rises of downtown New Orleans in the background,
freshman Rahul Shah works on his exam Monday morning. Third quarter
exams begin on Monday and end Thursday. Students who are sick or
who miss an exam will make up their tests on Friday.

The Blue Jays filled the Bird Cage on Friday night to the cheer on the Jays
to victory over the St. Thomas More Cougars. Soon, the Jays
will be sharing their spirit with basketball fans at the
CajunDome in Lafayette, Louisiana, the site of
the LHSAA Top 28 Basketball Tournament.

A Positive blood type.

   At Your Service...


Blue Jays took advantage of Friday’s service project fair to learn about the various
agencies that are seeking volunteers to work with their organization. 
All students-- but juniors, in particular-- were encouraged to attend
the fair to select an agency which will help them complete their
100 hour senior service project by the end of the calendar year.

   "Doughnut" Forget the Mission Drive...


Jesuit band director Jason Giaccone takes the Jesuit Mission Drive seriously.
Throughout the drive, Mr. Giaccone sells donuts to the Blue Jays in the
morning, at ten-minute break, and during the lunch hour.
The proceeds from this year’s drive benefits
the relief efforts in Haiti.

Our fellow Jesuit school in Indianapolis--Brefeuf Prep-- has sent us proof
of fulfilling the Super Bowl bet between the two schools. The recent 
inclement weather in the Midwest-- see the snow on the ground--
delayed our friends from carrying out the wager,
but now they have come through.

during the Jesuit-Fontainebleau soccer playoff game at Pan American Stadium.
The parades in the morning and the soccer match in the afternoon
made for a full and festive day for these Blue Jays!

in Robert, Louisiana. At the retreat, teachers and staff members
explore their personality traits and learn how to use this

in the senior division.

Mary, Mother of God. This statue of Mary, who is also
the Patroness of Jesuit High School, is found in
