Jesuit Science Camp Utilizing the latest in probes and computers, campers learned about the physical world through hands-on experiments. Retif Oil 2008 American Legion City, Regional, & State Champions

American Legion Baseball Sponsored by Retif Oil Retif Oil, Jesuit’s sponsor for American Legion Baseball, enjoyed a successful summer campaign. In between scorching heat or heavy thunderstorms, Retif secured the 2008 First District City, Southeast Regional, and State Championships. In mid-August, the team will travel to Oklahoma to represent Louisiana at the American Legion Mid-South Regional Tournament. Take a look at Retif Oil’s season on the American Legion Webpage.

Put me in, Coach! Baseball campers are ready to play.	Jesuit Baseball Camp Camp participants learned the fundamentals of baseball in one of the two sessions offered this summer. At camp, kids enhanced fielding and batting skills and learned the most important lesson about playing baseball-- have fun! Under the guidance of Jesuit's football coaching staff and student athletes, participants improved their play and deepened their appreciation for the game. Mid-City Kids' Wrestling Camp In two different sessions, wrestling camp introduced participants to the basics of wrestling. Summer Renovations From St. Ignatius Hall to the school elevators to the facade of the Administrative building and more, Jesuit continued in its efforts to recover from Katrina damage and to maintain its buildings to serve the community for years to come. New flat screen LCDs have been installed in five computer labs and the Resource Center.	Technology Enhancements Technology upgrades were comprehensive this summer. New computers in classrooms and science and computer labs and overhead projectors and Sympodiums name but a few of the electronic enhancements that reflect Jesuit’s commitment in providing the Blue Jays the best academic environment.
