The Blue Jay Bazaar attracts a multitude to Jesuit High School’s Mid-City campus.

At the busy high-low table, Blue Jays take a chance.

Jumping and sliding on the inflatable chute is fun for little ones and their parents...

... while some bigger kids prefer jumping and boxing.

The Space Walk is the ideal setting for even older Jays to roughhouse...

... and the batting cage is perfect to play human foosball.

Emerging from another dunking,  junior Jared Rodrigue can only laugh and shiver.

Juniors show off their strength in the tug of war contest...

... but the contestants from Homeroom 1102 are the champs.

A few fair-goers get away from the crowd to play frisbee on Will Clark Field.

Mountain climbing is just one of the
challenges the Bazaar offers.

At the ring toss, a young contestant takes his chances and...

... comes out a winner with Bazaar volunteer Margo DuBos cheering him on.

A contestant tries his luck at the basketball booth.

Senior Anthony Stovall is ready to take aim-- the question is at what
or at whom? What do you think?

Blue Jays get to show off their talent at the many skills games.

The rock band Clockwerk reaches back in time for a lot of their songs.

The Jayettes perform for an appreciative audience.

The sneak preview of Pippin drew a large crowd.

Jayson always attracts an audience wherever he roams. From left, Eden Johnson, sophomore Spencer Sticker, and Molly Kessling; Eden and Molly are sophomores at Archbishop Chapelle.

You never know who will show up at the Bazaar. Former Jesuit athletic director Frank Misuraca
enjoys a moment with his wife Charleen, granddaughter Ava, and daughter-in-law Kristen Misuraca.

Driving Miss Cookie: Vic Fulham ’65 picked up his mom, Cookie, and brought her to the Bazaar.

Bazaar co-chair Debbie Caluda and Fr. McGinn share a light moment.

Vincent Liberto ’83 and his son, Vincent, Jr.

and Shawn Haddad (top right).

Caught in the middle: Fr. Norman O’Neal, S.J., who is Jesuit’s alumni chaplain, is flanked
by Brian Berrigan ’80 (left) and Adrian Colon ’59.

Puttin’ on the Spitz: Longtime Jesuit theology teacher Dr. Thomas Spitzfaden enjoying the music

Twins Gavin and Caden Trahan attend their first Bazaar as grandfather Mat Grau ’68,
who is Jesuit’s alumni director, hovers close by.

Bro. Billy Dardis, S.J. ’58, who is moderator of Jesuit’s cheerleading squad, offers a spearmint goodbye to Mount Carmel Academy sophomore Rebecca Areaux (left) and junior Emily Culotta.

Bazaar barbecue: Arthur Roussel (left) and Bob Brousse ’77 prepare the delicious smoked sausage...

... while Whitney Keller ’81 turns the chicken...

... and Clark Hellmers and Brian Lade flip Bazaar burgers.

Enjoying the hot food and cool breeze under the big tent is the Arata family; Tom ’56 with his wife, Pat, and their daughter, Debbie Terrase.

Big wheel keeps on turnin’: Before selecting the winners of the raffles, including the $5,000 raffle, Fr. McGinn churns the drum that holds approximately 50,000 tickets sold by Jesuit students.

Fr. McGinn and raffle chair Barbara Holstein (center) look over the winning raffle tickets.

Blue Jay parents Judy and Jose Abadin are surprised they won the liquor basket...

... while the winner of the $5,000 raffle is Jesuit parent Robert Bertel, father of senior Jeff.

Jesuit appreciates and thanks the 2008 Bazaar co-chairs, from left, Rhonda Eckholdt,
Debbie Caluda, and Cindy Kehoe.

Renee Simon, Elizabeth Felger, and sisters Meredith and Megan Solari show off their wings.
Could volunteering at the Bazaar be in their future? One never knows, do one?
