The Jesuit varsity lacrosse team protected its 7-0 first half lead to capture a 15-5 victory over the St. Thomas More Cougars at Muss Bertolino Stadium on Thursday, March 21. The offense controlled possession resulting in two goals for senior attack man, Ross Champagne, followed by a goal each for Clark Romig and Andrew Brown all in the first quarter.

Fueled by teamwork, the Jays extended their lead in the second quarter with a defensive play by long stick midfielder Luke Powers adding to the scoreboard. Also scoring were Clark Romig and Dickson Chamberlain, who each added a goal in the quarter. The defense created several turnovers to tame the Cougars, and at the half Jesuit held a 7-0 lead.

The Jays came out strong to start the second half with Zack Charneco and Blaise McDaniel driving past the Cougar defense for quick scores.  Jesuit played a complete game with strong performances on both sides of the ball.  The final score was 15-5, a solid win for the Blue Jays against a solid team.
