Soccer Remains Undefeated in District

The Jesuit High School (JHS) soccer team continued its district shutout streak with a 3-0 victory over Chalmette and a 6-0 victory over Rummel.

Proving itself as a second-half team, JHS has seen eight of its last nine goals come in the second half of play. Jesuit’s goalkeepers, supported by the back line of the defense, have yet to allow a district opponent to score a goal this season.

After the 6-0 victory over Rummel, head soccer coach Hubie Collins said, “Our depth is showing. It’s nice to know that our parts are interchangeable. Many players can play many different positions.”

Jesuit (7-0-2, 4-0) will play in the LA Showcase Tournament in Lake Charles on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 21-22.
