What comes before finals week and Christmas break? Jesuit’s Student Council has the answer. The group has already begun spreading holiday spirit to all Blue Jays by launching a week’s worth of festive lunchtime events. It’s Christmas Week 2018.

Friday: Ugly Sweater/Sock/Suit Contest

Not only did Friday’s event involve an Ugly Sweater contest, it included a contest for ugliest socks and suits as well.

Thursday: “What’s in That Stocking?!”

Senior class president Langston Goldenberg blindfolds “What’s in That Stocking?” contestant Jack Grady.

Student Council held its event in the Commons, while the MCJROTC enjoyed its White Elephant Gift Exchange event down the hall.

Wednesday: Christmas Karaoke

Senior Kai McCurley wowed the crowd with a strong performance, singing “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.”

Along with holiday karaoke, Blue Jays enjoyed the opportunity to take pictures with Santa and eat Christmas cookies. In order to see their photos with Santa, students can email Mr. Genovese or see him in the Guidance Office.

Tuesday: Santa Showdown

Monday: Tree-Decorating and Jeopardy

Senior Zach DeBlieux is one of the first to decorate the tree.

Seniors deliberate over the final jeopardy question.

There was no better prelude to Christmas Week, and its first event of Tree-Decorating, than the homeroom Door-Decorating Contest. The winners of the contest were selected on Friday and announced at Monday’s Morning Assembly.
