2018 Evening of Advent Reflection
A Reflection on the Season of Advent
by Father Frank Reale, S.J.
Wednesday, December 12 at 7:00 PM
Is it beginning to look a lot like Christmas everywhere you go? During the season of Advent, Catholics are called to prepare themselves for the celebration of God’s Incarnation and the coming of the Kingdom. Are you ready for the grace that God has prepared for you during the holiday season and the new year to come? As the days get shorter, how can we better anticipate “the light that shines in the darkness” (John 1:5) that we celebrate at Christmas?
Fr. Frank Reale, S.J., Jesuit High School’s assistant to the president for mission and planning, will help us navigate the Advent season at Jesuit’s Evening of Advent Reflection. Fr. Reale brings a wealth of experience from the Jesuit Missouri Province administration, where he has served as vocation director, formation director, secondary education assistant, and provincial. He was also the vice president for mission and ministry at St. Louis University and spent three years as president of the university’s Madrid campus. He also teaches theology to pre-freshman, drawing on his previous high school teaching experience at Jesuit, Rockhurst High School, and St. Louis University High School.
Parents of current students, parents of alumni, and Jesuit alumni and their spouses are welcome to attend this evening of reflection on Wednesday, December 12 at 7:00 PM. Light refreshments and socializing will follow the Mass and presentation. Confessions will be available as early as 6:30 (optional).
If you have questions about the event, please contact Fr. John Brown at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Registration for the Evening of Lenten Reflection closed at 5 PM on Monday, March 11. Walk-ins are accepted.
