Mothers of senior Blue Jays in the Class of 2018

A pleasant October cool front came just in time for this year’s Mother’s Coffee, which was hosted by Kim and Brian Bent. Nearly 200 Blue Jay moms gathered at the Bents’ home on Tuesday, Oct. 24, for the annual get-together for Blue Jay mothers.

The house, recently constructed (and just in time for the event!), provided the perfect atmosphere for new and veteran moms who mixed and mingled over refreshments. Doors were opened and guests spilled out onto into the backyard to enjoy the fall weather. The impressive spread was coordinated by Marc Robért ’04 and included an array of salads, fruit and cheese, pasta, a variety of sandwiches, sushi, smoked salmon, and desserts.

Celebration volunteers were on hand for those wishing to purchase tickets to the “Celebration at the Disco Ball” themed gala and auction on Oct. 28 at The Cannery. In anticipation for next spring, Blue Jay Bazaar volunteers provided moms with additional information on how to get involved. Boutique House volunteers were also at the event selling handmade jewelry and other gifts for moms with lots of school spirit.

Congratulations to all of the mothers of soon-to-be graduating seniors, and many thanks to the Bents for hosting such a wonderful event.
