Big Brothers helped their Little Brothers navigate the second of two Book Days on Wednesday, Aug. 16.

The new Blue Jays appreciated the experience of their Big Brothers as they put on their neck ties, turned in paperwork, and proceeded through the queue of stations in preparation for the new school year. Returning freshmen learned their Book Day lessons last year and completed this year’s Book Day like seasoned pros.

At the first of two Book Days on Tuesday, Aug. 15, Jesuit faculty and staff welcomed seniors, juniors, and sophomores back to Carrollton and Banks. Book Day signals the official start of the new school year, and if Tuesday was any indication, the 2017–2018 school year will be a smooth one. Blue Jays navigated through the stations and tables with ease, gathering books and supplies along the way in preparation for the new year. Stations for student ID photos, textbook pick-up, and P.E. uniform purchasing were just a few of the many stops made by Blue Jays throughout the day.

New School Year Begins

This week marks the official start of the 2017–2018 school year, beginning with Book Days on Tuesday and Wednesday, Investiture and New Student Orientation on
Thursday, and the first full day for all Blue Jays on Friday.
