The 2017 Used Book, Used Uniform, and Used Novel Sale takes place Wednesday, Aug. 9 in the Hall of Champions on the third floor. The sale starts at 8 a.m. (sharp!) but the line forms early in the Traditions Courtyard at the doors to the green stairwell entrance. The Banks Street entrance to the school will open at 7:30 a.m. NO ONE will be allowed in the building before 7:30 a.m.

Organized each year by parent volunteers, the used book sale affords an opportunity for students and their families to sell their used text books and save money on books for next school year. Books will be priced at 50% of their original cost. This year will also feature the sale of donated used uniforms and used novels from English class.

Participation in this book sale is strictly voluntary. Review the Used Book Drop Off and Sale Procedures to participate in the sale. Important dates are listed below.

Used Book, Used Uniform, and Used Novel Drop Off

Tuesday, Aug, 8, 9 a.m. – noon, Room 329 (Carrollton Wing)

An envelope with the name of book (Algebra I, etc.), name of student, and phone number of student must be included in each book that is dropped off for sale. Each book turned in also should have the student’s name printed inside the book to help keep the proper book matched to the proper envelope.

Used uniforms and novels can also be dropped off. These items are a donation to Jesuit and do not need an envelop for drop off.

Books that will not be accepted for sale:

  • Workbooks
  • SAT books; PSAT, ACT, SAT prep course books
  • Writing Handbook
  • State books

Wednesday, Aug. 9, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. on the third floor (Carrollton Wing)

You will need the student book list to purchase books. If you did not receive the list in the mail, a duplicate list will be available at the book sale.

Payment is made by check only – a separate check must be made for each book purchased. Checks must be made out to “Cash.” A cashier will place checks directly into envelopes. Please do not put your payment in envelope until a cashier has verified the payment.

Pick-Up Date for Money

Thursday, Aug. 10,  9 a.m. – 2 p.m., Room 329

Aug. 21 – 25,  during school hours, principal’s office (Room 235, Administration Wing)

All money not picked up by Friday, Aug. 25 will become the property of Jesuit.
