The Jazz Band has fewer members than the concert band, playing music with a quicker tempo.

The Blue Jay Jazz Band delighted the crowd at their annual Christmas concert.

The Blue Jay Jazz Band will be making a special appearance at the Hard Rock Cafe in the French Quarter this weekend. This is the eighth year that the band has been invited to perform at the venue. The event began as a collaboration between Julie Sanford, mother of 2013 graduate Addison Sanford, and band directors Joe Caluda and Jason Giaccone. Under the direction of Maestro Giaccone, the band will be performing new and old genres of music including selections like “What a Wonderful World,” sung by junior Garrin Mesa, and “Eye of the Tiger.”
