Joe Lombardi speaks to parents and parents of alumni at the 6th annual Parents Evening of Lenten Reflection.

On Tuesday, March 14, parents of current students and parents of alumni were invited to attend the sixth installment of An Evening of Lenten Reflection with new president, Fr. Christopher Fronk, S.J., and guest speaker Joe Lombardi, quarterbacks coach for the New Orleans Saints.

Lombardi is the grandson of NFL Hall of Fame coach Vince Lombardi. His topic for the night, “Keeping Perspective: Faith, Family and Football,” zeroed in on three fundamental lessons from his football career that could be applied to life and the delicate balancing act of dedication to one’s family and dedication to God—practicing discipline, commitment, and leadership. Lombardi credited his Catholic faith for keeping himself grounded while raising seven children. His son, Joseph, is a freshman.

A reception followed in the Saint Ignatius Hall.

Alumni are invited to a separate event on Tuesday, March 29. Registration is now open for that event.
