Jesuit Presents Its 2016 – 2017 Homecoming Court

The Student Council presented the 2016-2017 Homecoming Court at the Oct. 7 game against John Curtis at Tad Gormley Stadium. The Court was formally greeted by Jesuit’s Jayettes, the MCJROTC’s Color Guard, and accompanied by music from the Blue Jay Marching Band.

This year’s freshmen/sophomore couple is Mr. Change McGee and Ms. Jila Azimi.  Jila is a freshman at Ursuline Academy.  She has been active in the pro-life movement attending the March for Life in Washington, DC.  She plans to attend LSU and pursue a career as a Nurse.  Chance is currently involved in the Spanish club, Mock Trial, and the Asian club.  He is also a Duke TIP scholar and on the Honor Roll.  Chance hopes to become a dentist.

The junior couple is Mr. David Gravolet and Ms. Laural Mixon.  Laurel is a sophomore at Cabrini High School.  She is a member of Campus Ministry; the photography, drama, and French clubs; as well as No Place for Hate.  Laurel plans to pursue a career as a school counselor.  At Jesuit, David maintains a 4.62 GPA and is involved with Mu Alpha Theta, academic games, Calliope, the Classics Society, and Sodality.  In college, David plans to study classics.

This year’s first senior couple is Mr. Liam Crane and Ms. Ivana Thompson.  Ivana is a senior at Mount Carmel Academy where she is involved in Teens for Life, Mount Carmel Cubs Against Destructive Decisions, Spanish Honor Society, and National Honor Society.  Ivana is also a member of Jesuit’s cheerleading team.  She hopes to study forensic psychology at LSU.  At Jesuit, Liam participates in the investment club, Peer Support, the ping pong club, and was the co-founder of the millionacres real estate interest group.  He plans to major in finance in college. The second senior couple is Mr. Christian Crout and Ms. Madisson Brayton.  Madisson is a junior attending Archbishop Chapelle High School.  She serves on the leadership team of Campus Ministry as well as participates in National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and the CIA service club.  Madisson has also won the Presidential Award for Service to Community for the past two years while maintaining a 4.29 GPA.  She hopes to study business and psychology in college at Spring Hill.  Christian is a member of Jesuit’s MCJROTC as the captain of the rifle team.  He also participates in Sodality, the paintball club, and the role-playing games club.  Christian plans to attend ULL and study physics. The third senior couple is Mr. Jacob Marshall and Ms. Alli Periloux.  Alli is a senior at Archbishop Chapelle High School.  She is a 4-year member of the Jesuit cheerleading team, serving as a captain this year.  At Chapelle, Alli serves as a student council committee head, is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Peer Mentors, and Women of Christ.  She plans to attend LSU next year.  Jacob is a member of the football team, the real estate investment group, National Honor Society, and serves as a big brother and as the senior class president.  Jacob maintains a 3.98 GPA and plans to study engineering in college.

This year’s fourth senior couple is Mr. Mack Miller and Ms. Aleia St. Germain.  Aleia is a senior at Mount Carmel Academy where she participates in Campus Ministry and Mount Carmel Cubs Against Destruction Decisions.  She is also a captain of the Jesuit Jayettes dance team.  Aleia plans to attend LSU and study medicine.  Mack is a member of the Jesuit baseball team, Peer Support, the green club, the pro-life club, and the spirit club.  He hopes to study chemical engineering at LSU.

This year’s fifth and final senior couple is Mr. Patrick Spiers and Ms. Peyton Miller.  Escorting Ms. Miller at the halftime presentation is Mr. Karl Hoefer.  Peyton is a junior at Mount Carmel Academy.  She is a member of the Jesuit Jayettes dance team.  Peyton plans to attend LSU and study nursing.  Patrick is a member of the Jesuit football team.  He maintains a 3.5 GPA and hopes to study engineering next year at LSU.

The Senior Maid who was elected Queen by the senior class at Jesuit is Ms. Ivana Thompson.
